In 1946 Mr. Buck Ransom and Mr. Ralph Primm saw the need for a Football Officials Association in the Northwest Georgia area. Mr. Primm worked with Mr. Sam Burke (Director of the Georgia High School Association) on rules and helped build Georgia as one of the foremost states in High School Football. Today NWGFOA has over one hundred members that are dedicated to providing Experience, Knowledge and Officiating Excellence to the Georgia High School Association Member Schools.
